Transportation including the vehicle, ship, railway and aircraft has consumed near 1/3 of the world’s energy and is the main part of the pollution emission. Transportation electrification is one of the most important fields to implement the energy consumption revolution. The recent development of power electronics, power storage, smart grid, renewable generation, hydrogen technology will greatly push forward the progress and application of electrified transportation, especially the electric vehicles and high-speed trains. The more electric and all-electric aircraft also having rapid development. This Symposium will focus on the emerging technologies in electrified transportation, some lectures and discussion will be organized between the universities, research institutes and enterprises. By the communication in this workshop, it is very helpful for the knowledge exchange between the fields of electrical engineering and transportation, also between the research groups and industrial applications.
